Our Ministries

New Jerusalem International Christian Ministries has a variety of ministries to support and nuture our congregation and our community.

Let us take a few minutes to tell you about them!

NJICM has a long standing reputation in the city of Richmond for having a wonderful Music and Fine Arts Ministry. Our choir, the Voices of New Jerusalem, won the Freedom Classic Choir Competition for 2005 and 2006. In addition, this awesome choir won the 2006 Ukrop’s CAA Faith & Family Day Inspirational Music Explosion. You can enjoy our Praise Teams and Choirs at any of our worship services. Our Music & Fine Arts Ministry is under the direction of Bishop James F. Brown, III.

NJICM Usher's Ministry

The NJICM Usher’s/Greeter’s Ministry is one of the most visible and critical ministries of our church. They are the first to welcome you into the service and the last to wish you farewell. The Usher’s and Greeter’s are committed to serving the congregation and for ensuring that the worship experience is comfortable for all. NJICM has three Usher boards that members can participate in; the Women’s Usher Board, The Men’s Board and the Youth Usher Board. So remember, the NJICM Usher’/Greeter’s are in place to serve you! The Usher's/Greeter's Ministry is under the direction of Minister Janet Bellamy, Evangelist Jeanette Mason and Brother Ronald Harrison.

NJICM Deacon Board

“New Testament Deacons serve the Lord by conducting the caring ministry of the church-doing the benevolence work, visiting the sick, being alert to the spiritual needs of the congregation-for the purposes of freeing the pastoral staff to focus on prayer and the ministry of the Word, promoting unity within the church, and facilitating the spread of the gospel.” That describes the Deacon Board of NJICM! This board is made up of ordained men and women that focus on serving the NJICM congregation and surrounding community. The NJICM Deacon Board is under the direction of Deacon Marvin Freeman.
